Local and Overseas Missions

The Community Church is delighted to have a number of overseas missionaries and local missionaries based at the church. Please remember them when you are praying. If you would like to support any of these people with a one off or monthly commitment please contact the office 01978 291282 or email us.

We always have opportunities for young people to volunteer for 3 months or more and be part of the work of the church. This would involve in taking an active role in chosen areas of church life including mentoring, youth work, childrens ministry, playgroup, toddlers. There are also opportunities to be involved with other projects in the town including Street Pastors, Foodbank. An emphasis will be personal development in God, and being involved in daytime teaching. If this is something that might interest you why not get in touch for a discussion via telephone 01978 291282 or email us.

Currently we have several members of The Community Church serve at OPERATION MOBILISATION. They work in the UK Headquarters which is just outside Oswestry doing all sorts of vital behind the scenes roles.

Operation Mobilisation is a large mission organisation with over 6,000 people working in over 110 countries. They have a key focus on ministry in India – with a child sponsorship scheme for Dalit education (Dalits are sometimes called the untouchables and are bottom of the social system in India). They also run a ship ministry called Logos Hope and do lots of work alongside churches through the world. For more information see OM website

YWAM Cymru/Wales

For over 20 years YWAM Wales has sought to support the work of the local body in bringing a radical experience of Jesus into local people’s lives.

We do this through a combination of local training, pioneering new ministries and, most importantly, by partnering with our local churches.

The Community Church occupies an important and strategic place in the life of YWAM in Wrexham. For over 10 years, close friendships, ministry ties and regular opportunities to serve together means that many of our YWAMers have made TCC their home whilst serving in Wales.

More recently, the incredible move of the Holy Spirit in our land, combined with an increasing hunger for a fresh break-out of God’s Kingdom has meant that we see partnerships with local churches – including TCC – as a non-negotiable. As such, we are committed to working with believing communities to see beauty of Jesus shine once again in our land. See our website www.ywamwales.org for more.
